To my beautiful angels...

A memorial service will be held for Susan Caldwell 41, and her daughter, Nina
Garrison 14, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 1600 Santa Lucia Ave, San
Bruno on Friday, February 4, 2005 at 2:30 p.m., following the scattering of their
ashes. Susan and Nina both died in a car accident in South San Francisco on
January 30. Susan is survived by her domestic partner, Bryan Kilfoil of South
San Francisco, her father Rodney Caldwell of Cupertino, aunt Eileen Justice of
Oklahoma, and many cousins. Nina is survived by her father, William Garrison
of San Francisco, grandfather Rodney Caldwell of Cupertino, paternal
grandmother, Constance Garrison, uncles Calvin, Donald, Michael, and Stephen Garrison,
their wives and children, all from Philadelphia. Susan was a photojournalist
with the SF Examiner and The Independent Newspapers of San Francisco and San
Mateo Counties who touched many lives in her 16 years of taking pictures. She
loved the outdoors. Nina was a student at El Camino High School in South San
Francisco and was active in sports and the music department where she played
the saxophone. She loved animals and volunteered each summer at the San
Francisco Zoo. Donations can be made for photojournalism scholarships to the
"Susan Jean Caldwell Memorial Scholarship Fund," c/o U.S. Bank, Attn: Teresa Adam,
50 N. Cabrillo Hwy, Half Moon Bay, 94019. Donations can be made in Nina's
name to the San Francisco Zoo, #1 Zoo Road, San Francisco, 94132 for a memorial
bench to be placed on the Nature Trail.

p.s. — I'm so happy I was able to be a part of your lives. I'll remember our ups
and downs, our laughter and jokes, our trips, our triumphs, our tears... our home.
I love you both with all my heart and hope that your memory will flourish and
bring comfort to those that you have chosen to shine upon.
